Dr C.W. Yu received his M.Sc. from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, UK and his Ph.D. from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

From 1977-1980 he worked as a protection engineer in the China Light & Power Co., Hong Kong.

He is now with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as an Associate Professor.

His research interests are in power system economics, restructuring of the electricity supply industry and transmission pricing development and implementation.

Dr. Yu is a chartered engineer and a member of HKIE and IET.
