Welcome to the official web site of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University!

Our department is the only department in Hong Kong specializing in electrical engineering.

We are the expertise in Power and Energy Systems, Power Electronics, Machines Drives, Electric Transportation, Environmental and Energy Saving Systems, Fiber Optics, Computer Control and Automation,  and Electrical Building Services.

We take pride in high quality teaching and applied research. We have long-term and active collaboration with the local and international industries. Our staff came from top-notch universities with years of industrial and academic experiences.
