Programme Introduction

This is an upgrade programme for holders of a Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering. The programme is well suited to those who work in industry and wish to upgrade their careers to become qualified professional electrical engineers. The programme makes full use of students' existing knowledge and industrial experience. The curriculum is credit-based and flexible in structure for part-time study.

 

Programme Aim

This programme aims to provide students with a sound education in the major aspects of electrical engineering and to furnish them with the opportunity and choice for detailed study in specialist areas in electrical engineering. The programme is designed to produce engineers who will be able to practise professionally and competently worldwide as well as in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.

 
Duration

  • Four years, part time

  • Holders of a Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering may be given credit transfers for certain subjects.

Entrance Requirements
  • A Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering;
    OR
  • A Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering.
