Most graduates will continue to keep in touch with the department and their former classmates through one of the following alumni associations:
In mid 2002, a group of enthusiastic Hong Kong Polytechnic Electrical Engineering alumni came together to discuss the possibility of setting up an alumni association to provide a networking platform and a link between the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE Dept) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU) and its alumni. To this end, an organizing committee was formed in July 2002. Meetings were held to formulate the Memorandum and Articles of Association, membership admission system and accounting system. With the full support of the EE, the Electrical Engineering Alumni Association of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Limited (EEAA) was inaugurated on 1 November 2003. It received over 40 applications during the inauguration ceremony. <go to EEAA>
The Hong Kong Polytechnic Electrical and Electronic Alumni Association (HKP EEEAA) is a founding member of the Federation of Hong Kong Polytechnic University Alumni Association. The HKP EEEAA was evolved from the Hong Kong Technical College Electrical and Electronic Engineering Alumni Association (HKTC EEEAA) which was formally established on 10 Dec 1966. With the establishment of the Hong Kong Polytechnic, the Alumni Association was renamed as HK Polytechnic Electrical and Electronic Engineering Alumni Association. At that time, the Alumni covered two departments: the Electrical Engineering Department and Electronic Engineering Department. In 1973, Dr. CHAN Fuk Cheung was the elected first Chairman of the renamed HKP EEEAA. On the 10th December 2006, the EEEAA celebrated its 40th anniversary. <go to EEEAA>
